Ms. V. Rossignol

Ms. Valerie Rossignol has been teaching Spanish at Cumberland High School for the past 13 years.  Prior to that time, she had taught Spanish and French at North Cumberland Middle School.  She has traveled extensively in France, Spain and Mexico;  and lived in Portugal  where she taught English to Portuguese students and to members of the Portuguese business community.   In the past,  Ms. Rossignol accompanied Cumberland High School students to Spain, and as the group leader, she was interviewed on Spanish radio.   Ms. Rossignol was a participant in "Project Results" and in the Rhode Island Foreign Language Association's "E-Connections" workshop  during the summer of 2000; and her students produced electronic portfolios in her classroom under her guidance.  Ms. Rossignol continually strives to incorporate technology in teaching her classes and works towards accommodating all learning styles through a variety of activities.   She also continually seeks to keep current with teaching trends by participating in district-sponsored professional development.  Most recently, she has served as a department mentor for new department members.  Currently, Ms. Rossignol is working with Spanish III and IV students.   Visit her web page for course information; or check her notes on Schoolnotes for  class updates on homework.
